Professional Courses For Librarians
Professional learning is most effective when adults work together with experts who serve as mentors and coach to facilitate growth. The coach aims at supporting and helping self-directed librarians to work collaboratively toward excellence through coaching and consultation. As the author, Timothy Gallwey says, “Coaching is unlocking a person’s potential, to maximize their performance. It is helping them to learn rather than team teaching”.
Library workshops will be conducted on different days and will focus on various topics ranging from the management of resources, teaching students from PreK to high school, technology tools, and creating a library curriculum embedded with skills and concepts of the school’s curriculum.

About Liferarian
Liferarians are a passionate community of Indian Librarians who believe in empowering and leveraging the role of a librarian in an educational organization. Liferarians believe in collaboration to promote and implement innovative practices through new developments in education and knowledge realms.
Liferarian was started in 2016 of like-minded librarians mainly from International Schools and other IB accredited schools to collaborate, showcase, learn and support each other. This collaborative group meets once every year. It is an event where individuals of varying skills, expertise and responsibilities come together to exchange ideas, learn and return to their schools with ideas, skills and new found courage to arrive at their respective goals and ambitions. As Ray Bradbury says, ” Teachers are to inspire; Librarians are to fulfill”.
This platform endeavors to support librarians who desire to pursue contemporary strategies and ideas to stay current and relevant. We believe that consistent collaboration can enable us to provide better library services, build a relevant collection, integrate and leverage technology to help learners. Liferarians intend to provide regular professional coaching opportunities to all educators.
