This workshop will emphasize the importance of fostering an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere in the library. We will examine various strategies and concepts aimed at promoting, improving, and evaluating our library environment to better align with the needs of our community. Participants will also have the chance to share their experiences, generate creative ideas, and create actionable plans customized for their specific library contexts.
The Writers’ Studio:
Stories around Us
Who says stories can only be found between pages? The world we live in is bursting with stories untapped, we only need look! From real-life objects to personal experiences to even storytelling, there is much to explore. During this interactive session, participants will engage with their surroundings & other group members as they ideate, create and write. They will explore how to apply stories and creative writing in their own practices & classrooms. The Writers’ Studio: Stories around Us includes group work, takeaway activities & an oral storytelling by the facilitator.
This workshop is open to educators across all grades and specialisations. After all, each of us has a story to tell.
Through the The Writers’ Studio: Stories around Us, participants will:

A vital part of research is the ability to critically assess the quality and credibility of sources. Participants will be introduced to a structured framework for evaluating information based on key criteria such as timeliness, relevance, authority, accuracy, and purpose. The session will also cover strategies for teaching students how to apply these principles, empowering them to identify reliable sources and develop critical thinking skills for informed decision-making in their research endeavours.
Cultivating Curiosity and Compassion through SEE Learning: A Path to Holistic Education
This presentation will explore how Social, Emotional, and Ethical (SEE) Learning, developed by Emory University, can nurture students’ curiosity and guide them toward meaningful action. By building body literacy and consistently honing the skill of resilience, SEE Learning fosters self-awareness, compassion, and ethical engagement—empowering students to navigate their educational journey with purpose. This session will provide educators with actionable strategies to implement SEE Learning principles within diverse classroom settings.
The Objectives of this workshop will be:
1. To introduce the framework of SEE Learning and its relevance to cultivating curiosity and action.
2. To demonstrate how SEE Learning aligns with contemporary educational priorities such as socio-emotional and ethical learning (SEEL), interdisciplinary teaching, and the 6 Cs (critical thinking, creativity, communication, collaboration, character, and citizenship).
3. To provide practical examples of applying SEE Learning principles in the classroom and other learning spaces.

Introductory Storytelling Workshop for teachers and educators.
The workshop will use applied theatre to equip teachers with some skills and perspectives about storytelling. We will explore different aspects of storytelling through the principles of applied theatre. The techniques discussed have been effective in training a large number of teachers across Maharashtra and will benefit librarians.
